We've all met them. These are the Christians who either state or imply that we who do not follow their leader are Laodicians, (lukewarm Christians mentioned in Revelations) I really like this article I came across describing the way legalism is something to avoid. I have found this most prevlent among those who want to follow some sort of strong leader (usually charismatic in some way). They deny that they have given up their own discernment, and yet will never wander outside the territory the leader has marked for them.
Here is the original aricle.

See if some of these churches are not very familiar to you.

The Christ of the Scriptures
I hope to lead others to some of the best Christian info out there. Occasionally, if the Spirit illuminates some biblical passage, I will post that too. My main goal is to remind Christians that the bible is the only authority in a Christian life, not signs and visions and unintelligible mumblings.

As we see the "Arab Spring", I believe it might more properly be called the "Muslim Spring". There is every reason to believe that each of the nations who are now breaking free from dictators will be controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Brotherhood will push for Sharia law, instead of the Democracy that many now believe was the goal of the rebellion. The Muslim Brotherhood will in all probability not honor the rebels, who handed the countries over to them, and in fact the rebels will probably suffer persecution, to whatever extent they desired religious freedom, or other freedom. How do we make sense of it all? I suggest this lecture by John MacArthur. It shows how domination by Muslims makes the most sense of the biblical account of the end times The Muslims are waiting for their supposed "savior" the Mahdi. The Mahdi will be a counterfeit savior. The Muslims believe Jesus was only a prophet and that prophet will return to earth to correct the Christians, that he wasn't really God and that Allah is the true God. This is what the Muslims are expecting. All this is in preparation for the arrival of WHAT THEY BELIEVE TO BE THE GREAT DECEIVER, the Dajjal.
These end time prophecies have traditionally been very hard to interpret. But I believe as we see world events unfolding in our time, the truth of the end time prophecies are becoming more and more clear. The Muslim's savior is our antichrist and their antichrist, who returns to earth and does battle with THEIR savior is our Lord and Savior, Jesus. It is the exact, mirror reverse of the truth.
Listen to this sermon and be better arms, beloved. It makes no promise of wealth on this earth. In fact, it promises you will be persecuted for the Lord Jesus's sake. But it also promises endurance, and that the Holy Spirit will give you words to say for the glorification of the Lord in your time of great distress. Your words will be irrefutable, and a great witness to those who witness it. And ultimately, those who endure will be saved, go to heaven and experience the wonderful inheritance which our Lord Jesus procured for us with his death, burial and resurrection.

End times?
Have you been wondering how things could have gotten so bad so fast in the United States? Do you wonder who is behind it all? I've known about the Illuminati and other secret societies for decades, but there is one book that ties them all in together better than any other I've read. Dr. Monteith's "Brotherhood of Darkness" is a very good explanation of how all these forces are tied together, and have been for centuries. Why would these few elite men work so diligently for so long, knowing they themselves will not realize their objective? Read the book and find out!

Through the Bible in a year email course
Simply the best "through the Bible in a year" plan, IMO.
http://lists.bible.org/?p=subscribe
I signed on for the Rev. R. M. M'Cheyne Plan which is through the Old Testament once in a year, and through the New Testament twice in a year. Every message sends you to the website where the reading for the day can be read, fully annotated in a frame at the bottom of the page that comes up *on mouse over*. I love this! I usually hate to read online, because you have to open other screens and go searching for things. But this study is very well thought out, IMO.
There are other options, like through the whole Bible in 90 days, or going through it chronologically instead of the order as it is published. Great stuff!
